This podcast features highlights of the Freedom Museum's 6th Table of Nations event, which focused on Spain and was held at Emilio's in Chicago's Streeterville neighborhood on July 9, 2008. The featured speaker was Chicago's Spanish Consul General, Javier Ruperez. Previously, he was the Spanish Ambassador to the United States from 2000-2004. Ruperez relates stories of the political transitions in Spain during his tenure, during which he was kidnapped by ETA terrorists. He was interviewed by the McCormick Foundation's own Mark Hallett, Senior Program Officer for the Journalism Department.
